You Don’t Have to Call Yourself an Artist to Make Something Beautifuld

So many people want to write a family story, sew a quilt, or start a custom journal, but they stop before they begin because they think, “I’m just not creative.”

As your Creativity Coordinator, I am here to change that. I join you at the very beginning, breaking down the intimidating steps of storytelling, fiber arts, and self-publishing into easy, enjoyable milestones. Together, we will bring your ideas to life and create a finished masterpiece you will be incredibly proud to display in your home or share with the world.

Turn Ideas into Handcrafted Masterpieces

Fiber Arts & Textile Design

You don’t need years of training to work with fabric and yarn. I provide friendly, step-by-step guidance in classic crocheting and sewing to help you build confidence from your very first stitch.

Looking for a unique way to decorate your home? We can also explore textile-on-canvas art, mixing fabrics, textures, and layers to design a custom, tactile masterpiece that you will be proud to hang on your wall. Whether you are holding a crochet hook for the first time or creating abstract fabric canvas art, I walk right alongside you.

Storytelling & Self-Publishing

Have a family story, memoir, or book idea inside you? I help you organize your thoughts, structure your story, and navigate the independent publishing process step-by-step to get your book in print.

It’s Time for a Change

1–2 minutes

We walk through our daily lives
On the same ole paths of me, myself, and I.
Seeing only what affects us
Getting all we can before we die.

It’s time for a change!

Children are being neglected and abused.
They are killing each other and defacing their lives.
They are showing us they need us
But we just keep walking fast with distracted eyes.

It’s time for a change!

We have closed our ears to God’s call
And failed to pray and seek His face.
Our land needs healing from its present condition
But the healing won’t start until we stop this pace.

It’s time for a change!

Peter sternly reminds us in his first Epistle
We are called to bless not neglect.
It’s time we changed our focus from ourselves
And give our neighbor his due respect.

It’s time for a change!

God is calling us back to Him.
He is calling us to prayer.
He wants to show us
How to show our children we care.

It’s time for a change!

We can turn a deaf ear to the human cry.
We can pretend our brother is only acting strange.
But the Lord is boldly showing us
It’s time for a change.

So listen up, my sisters, my brothers
Hear and believe what the Word says
It’s time to be humble, pray and seek God’s face.
He will heal and forgive us our sins if we change ways.

It’s time for a change!

I was reading one of my journals recently and found this poem I wrote on January 21, 1993. It was inspired by one of my favorite scriptures. I thought it was appropriate for this time of transition.

The Word of God lives forever.
